The SEAFOODTOMORROW Consortium gathered in Porto, Portugal for the 24-month project meeting on 5th and 6th of November 2019. More than 75 researchers and industry representatives gathered at ICETA facilities in Porto, to discuss the latest results and plans for the final year of the project.
Project partners presented their recent achievements and highlights since the last meeting in Ghent in May 2019. As the project approaches its final year, many of the project’s innovative solutions are complete and partners are getting ready for three demonstration workshops scheduled to take place in Spring 2020. Members of the project’s Industry Advisory Committee were present at the meeting and provided feedback on the solutions. The IAC congratulated the team on their achievements to date and highlighted the importance of the tools and solutions developed, particularly those that will aid the industry in tracing products along the seafood value chain and mitigate contaminants at production sites.
The first SEAFOODTOMORROW Demonstration Workshop will take place in Boulogne Sur Mer, France on 7th May 2020. Further details on the agenda for this event will follow shortly.
