In November 2018, the SEAFOODTOMORROW Consortium gathered in Vigo for the SEAFOODTOMORROW General Assembly. This brought together over 75 interested individuals from all areas of the project: industry representatives, scientists and researchers.
On the first day of the two-day meeting, SEAFOODTOMORROW Coordinator António Marques (IPMA) welcomed the Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC), including the newest member Giuseppe Palma (Assoittica).
Together António Marques (IPMA) and Maurizio Notarfonso (SPES) chaired the IAC session on Tuesday 20th November. The session provided invaluable insight into the innovative solutions foreseen in the project and the progress made in the first year in addressing the need for nutritious, safe and sustainable seafood.
A huge amount of scientific advances were covered in the parallel sessions that followed. Attendees enjoyed a fantastic meal at Hotel Pazo Los Escudos at the end of the first day, providing fuel for the second day of discussions and wrap-up sessions.
Many thanks to all at ANFACO, especially Ana Garcia Cabado, for hosting a very successful meeting.
